My friends spend their days frolicking
in the Pacific waves as they crash onto the beach at Ke'awekapu. Occasionally they lounge in the shade of the five palms
that line a grassy knoll there and sip mai-tais and gin and have wonderful conversations about this and that. Sometimes
I join them of course, but you might be more likely to find me a few blocks away in my studio preparing paintings for show
or putting the final touches on a manuscript for publication. And that's okay.
I came to Maui by accident
in 1978 and have made the island my home ever since. One perk that I have as a writer and artist is that I can survive
in one place about as well as any other.
