"After the Spring Shower - Grand Canyon"

is a striking diptych painted in oil on two 36”x36” canvas panels for a total image size of 36"x72". It is a captivating landscape that captures the Grand Canyon’s rugged terrain through layers of earthy reds, browns, and tones of purple. The dynamic sky—colored in shades of rust-yellow, blue, and white—adds to the drama. This impressionistic piece utilizes contrasting warm and cool tones to create a profound sense of depth and atmosphere. Inspired by a spring rain at the Grand Canyon, the artwork was painted in the studio using on-site reference drawings and photographs. It will be shipped in free frames, as shown, that were originally made for the painting's protection and my own gallery display.
