The aerial perspective of 'Dreams' composition was suggested in a painting by Wayne Thiebaud. it captures a serene landscape with a meandering river, fields, woodlands, and a central cluster of trees. Pastel blues, yellows and greens emphasize the harmonious interplay of the California landscape with its coastal waters.
